Getting started

From installer to your first three agents, and the things worth knowing on the way.

Install

Download the installer from the download page and run it. Station installs for your Windows user, with no admin prompt, and adds itself to the Start menu.

During the beta the installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen warns you. Choose More info → Run anyway.

Claude Code

Station runs the Claude Code CLI; it does not replace it. Install it with npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code, run claude once in any terminal and sign in.

Station installs its hooks into each project’s .claude/settings.local.json, never your global settings, so it can see what each session is doing. You can turn that off per project.

Several agents at once

Start the first agent with Ctrl+T and claude. For the second, use Ctrl+Alt+T: Station makes a checkout under <project>.worktrees\agent-N and the agent works there on its own branch.

When an agent finishes and has committed, the merge gate brings its branch home after npm run typecheck passes. Prefer to decide yourself? In Settings → Agents, set “When an agent finishes on its own branch” to ask you.

Dictation

Pick the engine once in Settings → Voice: Local downloads a 181 MB speech model and never touches the network; Groq or OpenAI take your own API key. Then hold Ctrl+Win, speak, and let go.

Station never presses Enter after dictating. Read what landed, then send it.

License and computers

A new computer runs Station for two days. After that, enter your key in Settings → License. A key is active on up to 3 computers at once; “Release this computer” there frees a slot.

Lost the key? It is in your purchase email and in the customer portal.

Where your data lives

Everything Station keeps (layouts, notes, boards, scrollback, settings) is in a SQLite database under %APPDATA%\kcorrai-station. Uninstalling leaves it, so a reinstall picks up where you were.

Station itself sends nothing but its license and update checks. See the privacy policy.
