What it does
The screen stops the moment you press the chord, so a menu or a tooltip stays where it was. A pixel loupe shows the coordinates as you drag.
One chord takes the window under the pointer, another the whole screen. Take the same area again, or wait a few seconds first.
Arrow, box, ellipse, line, pen, text, numbered steps, highlighter and redact, with crop, zoom and pan. Annotations are saved beside the picture, so a shot reopens editable.
Redaction destroys the pixels under it the moment you draw it. Undo takes the box away; it never brings the secret back.
Drag over anything, a video, a dialog, a scanned page, and the words are on your clipboard. T keeps a table’s columns, S makes it one line.
Set a shot on a background with a shadow for a post, or pin it above every window while you work from it.
How it goes
Anywhere in Windows. Shot lives in the notification area and the screen freezes at once.
Drag the area, then point, box, number and redact in the editor that opens.
One key puts it on the clipboard. The recent ones stay on a shelf, one drag away.

No account and no key. Everything happens on your machine.
The ones your Windows has installed. The text tool uses Windows’ own OCR, so adding a language to Windows adds it to Shot.
Yes. Annotations are stored beside the picture, so reopening a shot brings every arrow and box back as something you can move. Redactions stay burned in.
Yes. Every Station license includes it, with the same chords, plus dragging a shot straight into a terminal.
